I was over the moon when I found this club. The trainers are EXTREMELY friendly & helpful, have a wealth of information, and the classes are fun and chocker full of helpful tips and activities. Dogs are encouraged to work & behave for the pure joy of doing so via positive training techniques being applied. Whether you want a well-behaved pet or an obedience competitor this club should take you were you wanted to go. I started off only looking for a club to socialise my GSD puppy and ended up enrolling my older dogs. I just wish that they were closer so that I could take all of my dogs every week.

I started attending WAG Dog Training Club with my rescue dog a 4 year old GSD X bith named Tia. Tia, who I am hoping to do agility with needed more socialisation & had to learn to be as obedient in the company of other dogs as she was in the home. She had a tendency to lunge towards other dogs & not focus her attention on me.
We started in the starter class with Aldyth & soon moved in to the Bronze class with Gerard. One of the best things we learnt was the watch command which was a great way to get & keep your dogs attention on you. Tia successfully passed her Bronze Good Citizen Award. I was so proud of her.
I found the training which is all non harsh methods using rewards excellent & the trainers & assistant trainers to be very professional. They were all happy to give extra help after the class if need.
I was so impressed with the WAG team that not only did I enrol my 16 month old GSD Tyler for the next class I have lost count of the amount of people I have referred to WAG. Tyler who had real issues with other dogs at the start of the 10 week course passed his Bronze Good Citizen Award and is due to start working towards his silver when classes start on the 30th of September.
Thanks to everyone at WAG for your help it’s great to see a club that respects the dogs & will work with problem dogs, one on one training is used rather than banishing them from their club altogether.

We came to you last January at the end of our tethers, with one very frightened young dog. Millie was 12 months old and had gradually become more nervous around people and dogs, which was showing itself as aggression. We recognised that we needed someone to help Millie learn that people and dogs could actually be friendly and had already tried a couple of “behaviour specialists” and trainers who in our opinion made matters much, much worse. One of the things we have learnt over the past year is that there are some “behaviour experts” who should definitely not be working with nervous dogs! Thankfully we found WAG Dog Training Club. We started off with one to one sessions with Wendy. We took things very, very slowly so that Millie could grow in confidence with the trainers at the Club. We were so grateful when you and then Catherine and Anthony took the time to bring your own dogs to meet us on a walk so that Millie could learn and gain confidence from them in an outdoor setting. It was wonderful to see her gaining in confidence each week – not to mention my confidence levels too! I was very nervous the first time we joined in a class with other dogs, but with your help we managed that too. I can’t tell you how thrilled we were this last week to pass both the Bronze and the Silver awards. We can now look forward to the future with Millie. She grows in confidence each day, and is so much happier. We have enrolled on the Gundog Club Level One course and will be joining agility classes in October. Can’t wait!! That is just fantastic for us, we are really looking forward to it and we are sure that Millie will enjoy it too. We know that we still have some way to go – people are still a bit scary and Millie will still have an occasional grumble at another dog, but she will continue to grow in confidence because you have given us the tools to show us how to handle these situations. So a big thank you to Wendy for her patience, to Gerard for his very entertaining and understanding training sessions, to Catherine and Anthony for everything they have done for Millie and to Laura for always being Millie’s friend. We look forward to seeing you in August.
